Ever wanted to turn your ideas into real objects? This beginner-friendly class will teach you the basics of 3D printing and how to design your own creations using TinkerCAD — a fun, free, web-based design tool.
In this hands-on session, you’ll learn how 3D printers work, how to design simple models, and how to prepare files for printing. By the end, you’ll have your own small custom design ready for the printer!
What You’ll Learn:

  • How 3D printers work and what they can make

  • Intro to TinkerCAD: building shapes, resizing, grouping, and more

  • How to export and prepare files for 3D printing

  • Tips for successful prints and design thinking

You’ll Walk Away With:

  • A basic understanding of the 3D printing process

  • A custom-designed object (we’ll print it for you!)

  • Skills to keep creating at home or in the Makerspace!
